TRIAS S.A. is renowned in the sector of Consulting Engineers for its expertise in Transport Planning. The company is active in this field for over 15 years, having participated in the development of transport models for traffic simulation and traffic forecasting purposes in all major transport projects of Greece, such as: Patra-Athens-Thessaloniki-Evzonoi axis, Egnatia Highway, Athens Underground Rail, Attiki Urban Highway, Thessaloniki Underground Rail, Thessaloniki Submerged Tunnel. TRIAS S.A. has also participated in the development of the Transportation Plan for the Olympic Games of Athens in 2004.
The company is active since 1996 in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) field; among the most significant project TRIAS S.A. undertook in this field was the digitization of the Thessaloniki Sewer System. Since 1999, TRIAS S.A. is active in the development of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and in the installation of specialized software for Traffic Management; among the most significant projects TRIAS S.A took part in (as the main contractor’s associate) was the General Telematics Study for Egnatia Highway S.A., along with the (under development) Telematics Project in Thessaloniki Ring Road (as main member of the joint venture that undertook the project).
The majority of the shareholders and the main associates of the company are PhD and MSc holders and are actively participating in research teams under the auspices of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Transportation Sector).

News and releases from our website will be regularly updated, in particular with the latest news and findings from Research in Transport, as well as with interesting news regarding the progress of the major transportation projects in Greece, with emphasis on the ongoing projects in Thessaloniki.
