Revision and Upgrade of traffic and revenue forecasts of Thessaloniki Submerged Tunnel

Brief Description:

ΤRIAS SA undertook this project that lasted three months and had the following basic activities:

• Restructuring and rerunning traffic simulation models that were developed in the previous study of traffic forecasts for the Tunnel in 2003, in order to be realigned to changes incorporated in Tender Documents

• Reliability check of the new models

• Model runs in order to estimate traffic demand. Models will be run for different time horizons and different pricing scenario

• Traffic and Revenue forecast projection in a six-month basis during the operation period of the project

• Sensitivity tests to test the impact of important parameters and especially, saturation of the Submerged Tunnel
