The Company
TRIAS S.A. Consulting was established in 1992 with the aim to provide Consulting Services, Software and Information Systems Development, in the area of Transportation. The company’s activities were initially focused on Transportation Planning, Traffic and Socioeconomic Studies and they were subsequently extended in the Design and Development of Geographic Information Systems. Since 1999 the company provides services in the area of Intelligent Transport Systems. Both TRIAS S.A. as a partner and its associates as researchers, participate in Research Programs funded by European Union or other National or International Organizations.
During the period of operation of TRIAS SA, transport systems changed; they became multi-dimensional, service requirements grew exponentially, other transport means except private car faced an increasing market share, not to mention the funds invested all these years in infrastructure building and improvement. TRIAS S.A. was present in the consultancy market from the beginning of this continuing process of change, having, in this way, the advantage of deep knowledge of its mechanisms, thus being always able to propose well-founded solutions, applicable in the current socioeconomic framework.
Since its establishment, TRIAS SA combined:
- non-stop update of knowledge on the scientific progress made in US, Canada and Europe,
- high expertise of its personnel and external associates, who, in their majority, are MSc or PhD holders,
- adoption of a flexible management model, which facilitates the rapid mobilization of company resources,
- ability to collaborate with and co-ordinate, if needed, a valuable network of strategic partners, both in Greece and abroad; by being well-connected, unnecessary bureaucratic frictions are diminished,
- investment in the most up-to-date software and hardware, as well as use of state-of-the –art methodologies,
managed to offer high-caliber consulting services to its clients, totally tailored to their needs, thus sustaining an uninterrupted presence in the Consulting Services Market of over 15 years and being an active participant in all major transport projects of the country, such as the Patra-Athens-Thessaloniki-Evzonoi Axis, Egnatia Highway, Thessaloniki Subway, Thessaloniki Submerged Tunnel, etc.
TRIAS S.A. chooses its personnel based on criteria such as their high academic qualifications and as a result, most of its associates hold postgraduate diplomas (Ph.D, or/and M.Sc.). In addition, TRIAS’ associates are encouraged to participate in scientific conferences as well as research programs funded by European Union, and so they are assisted to extend their scientific identity and to gain knowledge with respect to the most recent developments of the international research community. Through this approach TRIAS S.A. was always capable to transform scientific knowledge into high level Consulting Services, creating the same time strong cooperation with worldwide proven research agents and consulting firms.
TRIAS S.A. understands the need for continuous upgrade of his technological assets and believes that adopting high level specified technological equipment facilitates its associates’ work, and improves their ability to provide high level consulting services. That way, the company during all the period of its operation is frequently renewing its technological equipment and refreshing its computer networks. TRIAS S.A. is based in Thessaloniki, the place where it was established, and continues to operate until now, hosted in two privately owned offices.
